What is the best/most common breed of pet bird and why?
Finding the right bird for you and your family is not as easy as asking other people’s opinions. It’s really about your lifestyle. You have to ask yourself some questions. How much space do you have for a cage? Do you have room for a large flight cage or aviary? If so, you may want to consider one of the bigger birds (a macaw, cockatoo, or Grey). If not, one of the smaller parrot species may be good – a conure or a poicephalus, for example. How much time are you willing and able to spend with your bird on a daily basis? How much mess can you put up with? (Either way, you’ll have to vaccuum daily). How much noise can you tolerate? Do you live in a house or an apartment?
