What is the best overall laptop for under £800?

There are many laptops for under £800 that would be worth buying. What i would say is that make sure you get a decent graphics card and do not settle for an Intel Integrated Graphics Card, an Intel GMA or anything with shared graphics. You are best to go for AMD processor as they come with good graphics cards. Make sure you get an AMD TL-56 (1.8GHz x2). I would avoid Sony VAIO laptops because although they are good, you can get much more for your money as they are very overpriced just because of the Sony badge. Hope you find a good one!

My gf recently purchased a Sony vaio with a 17″ screen for just under the £800 mark. DVD burner, bluetooth, wireless the works. Very nice machine and we’ve had it for a couple of months now and so far no issues. Highly recommended! Try these guys http://uk.insight.com/apps/productpresen… If you want to upgrade the RAM they will sell you an extra stick and can even fit it for you for an extra few bob!
