What is the best time to practice Qi Gong?
It depends, somewhat on which Qi Gong Forms you are practicing. Generally, the best time to practice is between 11 pm and 11 am, during the time when yang energy is dominant. Yang energy is expansive, bright, and active energy. Yin energy is contracting, dark, and passive. It is best to have a routine, a schedule for your practice. Practice as little or as much as works best for you. Perhaps starting with about 45 minutes. If a student is only able to practice a few minutes on some days, it is best to practice – even for that short period – than to skip a practice.
