pvc/vinyl fencing is good. It is durable and is resistant to wear. You'll want to get a tall fence because I know JRT are great jumpers. I'd suggest over 6ft. You'll also want to make sure that part of the fence is buried at least a foot under the ground because they are also great diggers. An alternative is getting a large dog run. You could be saving money and installation time and the dog is still able to be outside for extended periods without running amok and risking injury.  more

I have a 5 1/2 month old JRT puppy called Bo and a huge garden. only problem is she can't play in the garden off the lead because we have no proper fencing and at the end there is a gate which she could slide under and get into the road. Please don't reply if all you are going to say is that i should've fenced it before i got her because i know that now. i just don't know what type of fencing would be best as she can jump pretty high. she doesnt chew much but often runs into things. thanks in advance.  more
