What is the best university for accounting in Ontario, Canada?
Waterloo’s accounting program (not their business or economics programs) is AMAZING. It is extremely competitive and you need good marks (at least high 80s) write the Euclid Math Contest, write the AMFAA, and write 3 essays in 2 hours as a supplementary. Also, this program is a co-op program, so you will already have completed most of your work credits by the time you graduate. Laurier actually has one of the better business schools, but mostly for its BBA program, rather than their economics & accounting. Also, co-op is NOT guaranteed (only guaranteed for double major students… BBA with BMath/Bsc) so there is a possibility that you might not get any work experience. One school that I think is underrated is Brock. Especially if ALL you’re worried about is accounting. Brock isn’t much of a school in terms of prestige or academic standards, but their BAcc is incredibly successful.
