What is the best vacuum for cat hair?
The Dyson DC17 Animal. Although it is expensive ($550!)… this vacuum is specially designed for removing stubborn, deep down dog and cat hair most vacuums will leave behind. Also recommended is the Kenmore Progressive 35922 ($350 at Sears) which ranked at the top of a 2006 consumer reports test out of 65 vacuums. If you can’t afford a high-end vacuum, you should at least get one with a HEPA filter to get rid of dander. HEPA filters can help reduce up to 99.97% of allergens that would normally be emitted back into the air while vacuuming. Good luck! Hope you find what you’re looking for!
