What is the best washer brand?
I second the Maytag Bravos recommendation. I own a Maytag Bravos washer. It’s “only” 4.6 cu ft, as compared to the current 5 cu ft model, and it holds tons of laundry! Whereas I used to have to do laundry 7-10+ times each week, now I only have to wash 3-5 times a week. I can wash lots of sheets in it. I can wash a king-size comforter with ease. I can’t imagine how much the bigger one would hold. Maytag Bravos is an HE washer, just like the front loaders. But it doesn’t have the mold/mildew or funky odor problems. It also doesn’t have the vibration problems. Lots of people like it for an upper floor for this reason. Maytag Bravos washers/dryers are made with commercial grade parts. The newest 5 cu ft model I saw comes with a 10-year warranty!
