What is the best way for me to deal with the blind or partially sighted?
Not everyone knows how to deal with blind or partially sighted people. Of course it takes a lot of time and patience. You must be well motivated to help others. Although some blind people may be more or less independent, they will still need someone to guide and help them. They are taught how to be independent in certain ways; however, they will always have to rely on others. So when you enter or leave a room you should always tell them. When you hand over something to a blind person always tell him or her that you are doing so. When you are about to enter a room in the company of a blind or visually impaired person always say so.
