What is the best way/method to study for the GMAT exam?

My experience was as follows: 1. I downloaded the free software from the MBA.com website. They have two full practice tests and I found these helpful. 2. I also bought a Kaplan book and a Princeton Review book. I thought that the Kaplan book was much more helpful. One *big* helpful hint that I found was to **NOT** write in the book – you can’t write on the computer screen on the test, so don’t get into bad habits. 3. ETS also offers “The Official Guide for GMAT Review.” I didn’t use it, but I heard that it is very helpful – the questions in the book come from old tests. 4. In general, spend a little time each day working on the test. If English is your native language, I wouldn’t spend that much time worrying about the essays. I don’t think those scores are really looked at unless English is a second language for you. 5. Try not to stress to much and keep one eye on the clock. Good luck!
