What is the best way to clean fingerprints off my LCD tv and my laptop screen.?

The best thing is to not get them on the screen in the first place… I have a label on my laptop – “please do not touch the screen”. Sometimes people don’t read it, or don’t think it applies to them, and so verbal reinforcement is needed. Do not be overly forceful when providing such reinforcement – breaking the person’s wrist is likely to get you talked about. A sprained finger or two is usually sufficient. Seriously, really, really, really don’t ever touch these things, or let anyone else do so. Most laptop and TV manufacturers recommend cleaning with a dry, very soft cloth – if that’s not enough, moisten the cloth first with water (do not spray directly on the screen, and don’t get the cloth so wet that the water runs down the screen). Alas finger oils can’t be removed with just water. And the antiglare finish on these screens has a very slightly rough surface – oil gets into the tiny little crevasses and is very very difficult to get out.
