What is the best way to eat a pomegranate?
Alton Brown showed me this: Cut almost all the way through on 4 sides as if you were going to quarter it – but don’t go all the way through. Then submerge the entire fruit under water in a bowl and while under there, gently tear the 4 pieces apart. Then you can get to work on getting all the seeds out without making a mess all over the place. Also the waxy stuff floats to the top of the bowl. Then you can eat them all up right then and there, or responsibly store the seeds in your fridge for easy access whenever you want to munch on some.
