What is the best way to find a flat-share whilst living in Sydney, Australia?
Realestate websites such as domain.com.au and realestate.com.au both advertise share accomodation. The Cross is not necessarily the best place to live (unless you like all night cafes, bikie gangs and street prostitutes). But transport there is fairly convenient. Depends on your salary you could live in a local area, maybe even Bondi beach area or perhaps the inner west of Sydney (summer hill, ashfield and so on). They are queit, but near the action. Finally you can follow the transport corridor out as far as you want, say Epping, Parramatta and so on. Suburbs tend to vary a lot, for example To walk from downtown summer hill to Ashfield might take at the most 30 mins. However Summerhill is very traditional and white, while Ashfield is full of Shanghai Chinese people.
