• Primarily, it is simplification. CMBHS is being designed with the input of community mental health and substance abuse providers in collaboration with DSHS MH and SA program staff and administrators. The focus of this collaborative group has been to design one fluid shared record system rather than several special-focus systems. The CMBHS stakeholders collaboration has produced a single “best of breed” electronic health record system to collect and share client care data within DSHS and between the community providers under contract to provide MH and SA services.
