What is the biggest problem with airports, airplanes or just the general flying experience?
It’s the airlines, especially the budget ones. Try being 1 minute late, or being a few grammes over the weight allowance, and look at the disproportionate level of stress caused by the attitude of the airline. Big carriers can be more flexible, but others treat you just as a revenue source and not a passenger. As for the airports – they usually have a reasonable selection of shops and eating places. If you don’t like this and get bored with plane watching, bring a book. It’s a great way to do catch=up reading and let the imagination do the flying. Air planes are OK as well. They are very safe so no worries about that. Long haul is best. Settle down with a meal, have a couple of drinks, take in a film or two, snooze or sleep. And there’s always the next chapter of the book you started in the airport…. There’s actually nothing wrong with any of these components. It’s what you make of it that defines the good and bad.
