What is the Brothers and Sisters of Charity?

0

The Brothers and Sisters of Charity is a Catholic based community (Public Association of the Faithful) made up of an integrated expression of celibate brothers, sisters, families, and singles, and a domestic expression of those who live throughout the world in their own homes. The base of the community is monastic, and the Motherhouse of the whole community is Little Portion Monastery in Berryville, Arkansas, in the diocese of Little Rock. The Monastic and Domestic expressions exist under one Scripture Rule, and under the leadership of our Founder and General Minister, yet each expression has its own distinct leadership and written guidelines, our directory. As such, Jesus is our primary rule, and our primary law is love. The Brothers and Sisters are called by God to make solemn promises of poverty, chastity, and obedience, as well as seeking substantial silence, solitude, penance, and prayer.
