What is the BSW Learning Circles (LC) route and Virtual Learning Circle?

0

The Learning Circles route is designed for students in rural, remote, and/or Indigenous communities across Alberta only. This route accepts students into the third year of a four year degree. Its core content is grouped into four areas: Generalist Practice in Context; Research in Context; Diversity and Oppression; and Social Work Methods. The BSW Learning Circles route offers convenient courses scheduling and local practicum placements. This program accepts students from post diploma (Alberta colleges’ social work diploma graduates) and previous degree holders’ routes. In our attempt to meet the diverse need of students, the Faculty of Social Work also offers the Virtual Learning Circles (VLC). The VLC curriculum offers a combined online instruction and some face-to-face opportunities.
