What is the cause of glandular fever?
Glandular fever been knwn as the kissin disease is a wee old wives tail lol. It is basically a viral infections caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. Due to this virus being located in the saliva it CAN be passed on through exchanges of spit but that not the only cause. It can also be spread through airborn droplets. For instance if someone coughed & you breathed these in then you are infected etc. Once the virus has developed it will be with you forever alot like Chicken Pox(Which never actually leaves your body totally) causing shingles in later life. There is a chance that you had the virus long before you began relationship with your boyfriend and the symptoms arent showing up until now or you may have received it from him without him knowing he had it. Its nothing to worry about though. Go to your doctor and they will help you.
