What is the citys requirement for sprinkling buildings?
The City of Racine Fire Prevention Code adopts the standards of the International Building Code. Sprinkler requirements are dictated by size of building and types of occupancy and construction. Whether the building is new or existing, the sprinkler code may also be imposed due to change of occupancy or if the fire chief deems it necessary to impose the code due to the type of occupancy.
