What is the climax of The Monkeys Paw?
There is also a short story by W.W. Jacobs entitled the Monkey’s Paw which is similar in theme but varies in content. The son is Herbert White and is killed working at Maw and Meggins when he is caught in the machinery. His death comes after the family’s first wish for money and upon his death, the family receives a grievance pay from the son’s employer in the exact amount wished for. CREEPY! That is when Mrs. White comes up with the idea of wishing him back to life. The rest is much the same, though without a bloody scarf!
