The 2003 CSHA is the second such multilateral agreement signed by the Commonwealth and State governments. The aim of the CSHA is to facilitate access to affordable, appropriate and secure housing assistance for those who most need it, for the duration of their need. Housing assistance under the CSHA is provided through the following programs: public rental housing, state owned and managed Indigenous housing, community housing, Crisis Accommodation Program, home purchase assistance and private rent assistance.
