What is the current National minimum wage for over 21s?

The National minimum wage is currently 7.25 and is due to go up next year. As for paid holidays…it depends on if your employer is open and making you work it. If you get a Union job then the pay is all different and if you work the holiday they will only pay you after your hired probation period. I only get paid for Thanksgiving and Xmas day holidays and as for vacation time…it’s only after 1 full year of employment and sick days…I do not get any…bereavement…I get 1 to 3 days depending on the relative. There are a general set of guidelines but it also depends on the type of employer you work for…some are generous and some are not.

Depends on which nation. In the US, it’s $6.55 per hour minimum. Federal law doesn’t restrict the number of scheduled work hours for employees who are sixteen or older. Employers do not have to provide employee vacation benefits or paid holidays, unless you’re a federal employee. Individual state laws can expand the minimum protections afforded by federal law.
