What is the current status of the John Lennon FBI files? Answer: Of the 281 files in the FBI archives dealing with John Lennon, only ten pages remain unreleased: the United States government refuses to make them public, claiming that they contain information obtained through a foreign government (presumably England) and that their release would jeopardize their relationship with that country. A federal court has ordered the bureau to release those last ten pages as of 2006, but the FBI has filed a motion for appeal. Jon Wiener continues to press the case.
