In the Senior School, students begin with a prescribed and wide-ranging set of courses in Grades 7 through 9. From this broad foundation, and with a continuing core of required courses like English and Mathematics, students exercise increasing choice as they move through the upper grades. Grade 10 courses permit students to take the Cambridge IGCSE exams in May and June. The Grades 11 and 12 courses primarily focus on the US College Board-administered Advanced Placement exams. These exams serve two crucial purposes: they allow students preparing for American universities to earn some college credit; they also serve as widely-accepted entrance examinations for students headed to the U.K. or Australia for higher education. In addition, the Woodstock curriculum allows students to earn an Indian Marksheet for admission to Indian universities.
