What is the deadline date for filing a claim to get reimbursed from my Flexible Spending Account for the plan year ending June 30th?
Per the I.R.S. rules, employees have 90 days from the end of the Flexible Spending Account plan year to submit a claim for reimbursement. Therefore, since the school district plan year ends June 30th, employees have until September 30th to submit a claim. Claims must be submitted with the appropriate claim form which is available on the school district web site and in the Office for Human Resources at the Educational Services Center, 18551 East 160th Avenue, Brighton. On the web site, click on “Employees” and then click on “District Forms – HR Department.” Click on the appropriate form and print. Follow the directions on the back side of the claim form and mail to the address at the bottom of the claim form along with your receipts.
