The definition of nuclear proliferation is that, as more and more countries around the world seek safety and security, they are increasingly turning to military weapons that can ensure they are respected on the world stage. The ultimate weapon developed to date is the nuclear bomb. Currently, 20 countries have nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, there are many other countries, many hostile to the U.S. and its allies, who are seeking to obtain nuclear capabilities, especially weapons. The definition of nuclear proliferation is that more and more nations are gaining nuclear weapons. This is extremely dangerous because as more and more nations obtain these weapons, the risk of one being used goes up tremendously.
