The Depression Treatment Study is a research study being conducted at the Ohio State University designed to improve our understanding of how cognitive therapy for depression achieves its effects by looking at the ways in which therapy changes cognitions and coping strategies and how these changes are related to reductions in depressive symptoms. Participants will be asked to complete assessments to allow evaluation of the short- and longer-term effectiveness of this intervention. The study is designed to provide high quality clinical care to all study participants enrolled in the study and to improve treatment of depression for others in the future.
