I’m not familiar with all those terms, but I’m assuming the digital CDI is simply a solid state CDI rather than a system using mechanical points. The only difference between an electronic CDI ignition and an ordinary non-CDI ignition is there’s a capacitor in the system. A capacitor is the same thing as a condenser and is simply a very small storage battery. An ordinary electronic ignition functions by using transistors (rather than old style points) to ground out the primary winding on the ignition coils. A CDI system saturates the capacitor (fills it with electricity) and when it’s time to fire the plug, the brain box uses transistors to dump the current into the primary winding of the ignition coil. I know ignition systems and if you ask me, some manufactures used CDI systems to wake up cheap, weak coils rather than spend a few more bucks on good coils. As far as the multi mapping, I’m not really sure what that means. It may be the same thing as on my old ’84 Kawasaki Voyager where
