What is the difference between a closed and open beta?

0

The closed beta requires an Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) which explicitly prohibits public posting of game information not previously released in any form, it is conducted on a smaller scale and used to test for major imbalances and bugs, as well as tweak performance. The open beta allows the posting of pictures, discussion etc. of game content. It is generally a small balance and stability tweaking time. The open beta is also much larger. Neither beta is intended to act as a demo of the game, they are for trouble shooting.
