What is the difference between a counter top lavatory and an above counter lavatory?
A counter top lavatory (also known as a drop-in) is installed using a hole cut into the counter top with only the rim of the lavatory sitting on top of the counter. An above counter lavatory (also known as a vessel) is generally installed entirely on top of the counter and with a small hole cut into the counter surface for the drain assembly.
