A DOCSIS configuration file is a binary file, and has the parameters for radio SUs to come online in accordance to what the ISP provisions, for example, Maximum Downstream and Upstream Rates, Maximum Upstream Burst Rate, Class of Service or Baseline Privacy, MIBs and many other parameters. A Cisco IOS configuration file is a text file that can contain specific configurations, such as access lists, passwords, and NAT configurations, that you can download within the DOCSIS configuration file.
