What is the difference between a dynamic web page and a static web page?

Static means static! No changes at all! All the visitors will see the same stuff over and over! HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is used to create a static website. We can add audio and video files and contact forms to a static website and make it look like a dynamic site, but they are not really DYNAMIC. Each and every visitor is seeing or experiencing the same all the time, the content is not tailored for any specific user.
