What is the difference between a fertile and non-fertile egg?

Nest Fresh fertile eggs have all the regular features of all other Nest Fresh eggs (cage free, no antibiotics, vegetarian feed, etc.), but roosters are added to the flocks, so the eggs are fertilized. The eggs are gathered several times a day and placed directly into a refrigerated cooler, so there’s almost no chance for germination to occur. According to the American Egg Board and the American Dietetics Association, there is no difference in nutritional value.
