What is the difference between a flexible SunPipe and the original SunPipe?
• A flexible pipe means you do not have to use any adjustable elbows and it is cheaper than the original SunPipe. That is about the only real advantages! The original SunPipe transmits approximately three times more light than the new flexible SunPipe, although the flexible SunPipe is approximately twice as good as other flexible lightpipes, since it incorporates the Patented Diamond dome, an initial straight length, and the patented SunPipe ceiling diffuser. The traditional SunPipe is the preferred option by practically every householder and simply clips together for maximum light output.
