Nutritionists are more concerned with the consumption or diet side of nutrition. Food scientists and food chemists are specialized on the food production side. Some universities have food science and nutrition in the same department. If you get a degree in nutrition, then you would be a nutritionist. That would be the first step. If you want to be a dietician, then you must complete a special supervised internship as well.  more
