What is the difference between a “foster home” and an “orphanage”?

Being a foster home means that we are able to “foster” these children until they are adopted. The government orphanage where the child originally came from is still ultimately responsible (to CCAA, adoption agencies, etc.) to ensure that the child is being properly cared for.  more
