What is the difference between a laptop and notebook computer?

Several years ago, a laptop was larger than a notebook, but nowadays they're two terms that generally mean the same thing. When notebooks hit the market, most people still referred to them as laptops. That attitude never changed, so we just use the words interchangeably now.  more
