What is the difference between a Memorial Mass and the Full Christian Funeral?
Any Mass that is celebrated for a deceased person could be called a Memorial Mass. This specific type of Memorial Mass is celebrated in instances either when no Funeral Mass has been celebrated or the Funeral Mass was celebrated in one place and the body is being transported to another location for burial. The distinction is that a Memorial Mass takes place without either the body or the cremated remains present.
