What is the difference between a monogram and initials?
A monogram reads first initial, last initial larger in the center and the middle initial on the right. For example: Katharine Stewart Johnson’s monogram would be kJs and her initials would be KSJ. For a bride and groom we usually combine their initials. So if Katharine Johnson were marrying Todd Smith, their monogram would be kSt (her first inital on the left, their last initial in the middle and his first initial on the right).
