Naturopathic doctors a minimum of seven years of post-graduate studies. They have over four thousand hours in classroom and clinical training. To become licensed in Saskatchewan they must pass rigorous North American licensing exams. Naturopathic doctors use not only homeopathy in their practice, but use many additional treatments to help their patients. Homeopaths are unlicensed and while some can have many years of training, others can have only a weekend course. Homeopaths are practitioners that use only homeopathy to treat clients. They are an unregulated profession and therefore there is a wide variance in education between practitioners. Some may only have a weekend course, while others may have several years of education.
