What is the difference between a TIFF and PDF file?
TIFF is the file format of the image created by using a scanner to scan a paper document into a document imaging system. TIFF is a good choice to receive a black-and-white document with a compressed file size. PDF is quickly becoming the de-facto standard for long-term storage of a digital file. As Adobe’s Acrobat Viewer increase its install base daily, more and more documents are converted to PDF to be able to be viewed by another user.
