What is the difference between a title search and a property report?

You can find the so-called “property reports” available online for a less than $10. This kind of report is usually a copy of the tax records, that specifies the name of the assessed owner, and sometimes shows some neighborhood information. It does not search for liens, mortgages or ownership transfers. So, property report is not the same as a property title search.
