What is the difference between an Immigration Consultant and a Lawyer?

Lawyers are regulated by the Law Society of Upper Canada whereby Immigration Consultants are regulated by the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants. New regulations have been put in place to regulate Immigration Consultants and to prevent misrepresentation.
