What is the difference between an internship, volunteerism and service-learning?
Service-Learning resembles both an internship and volunteerism. An internship is an opportunity that students are given to apply their academic skills in either a business or non-profit agency. Civic responsibility is not part of the goal in an internship nor is reflection involved. The focus is learning about the skill that is being applied.
