ArcGIS Explorer is a “globe viewer” used to interact with 2D and 3D content. This Windows application can connect to content on ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS, and ArcWeb Services. ArcGIS Explorer must be downloaded (approximately 20 MB). ArcWeb Explorer is a 2D Web mapping application that can be accessed in a Web browser to find locations, get directions, browse maps, and generate reports. Compatible with most browsers and operating systems, it can be quickly embedded in other applications using a simple JavaScript API or the Flex API. ArcWeb Explorer 1.0 requires Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher; ArcWeb Explorer 4.0 (Labs) requires Flash Player 9,0,28 or higher.
