The biggest differences are in the missile specifications and the number of impacts to a test specimen. Dade County only has two missile types while ASTM has five. Dade County also requires that a specimen be impacted a minimum of twice while ASTM may only require one impact per specimen. In addition, Dade County has other requirements for products such as material properties tests before they will grant approval.
