Most tooth whiteners use one of two chemical agents: Carbamide Peroxide or Hydrogen Peroxide. Carbamide Peroxide breaks down into Hydrogen Peroxide and Urea, with Hydrogen Peroxide being the active whitening ingredient. Because of the time required for it to break down, Carbamide Peroxide whitening treatments take a lot longer to work than those using Hydrogen Peroxide. Treatments where you leave a mouth tray in overnight always use Carbamide Peroxide. The gel used in the CleverWhite Teeth Whitening Kit contains 6% Hydrogen Peroxide which equates to a whitening strength of 18% Carbamide Peroxide. Other proprietary ingredients in the CleverWhite gel formulation increase the overall whitening effect.  more
