What is the difference between Communication Arts and Graphic Design and Computer Art?
In the Communication Arts and Graphic Design program students learn design theory and software that enables them to produce commercial work such as logo design, poster art, brochures, book covers and packaging art. Students utilize design concepts and ideas to create solutions that satisfy a client’s requirements and specifications. Concentrations in illustration, photography and computer graphics are available. Upon graduation Communication Arts and Graphic Design students will be prepared for positions in advertising and marketing or for advanced study in graduate school. The Bachelor of Arts in Computer Art program teaches students to use computer animation software in animation, computer modeling, video editing, particle systems and physical simulation- skills that are used by major animation studios such as Dreamworks, Pixar and Disney.
