What is the difference between dry heat and humid heat?
Perspiration evaporates in a dry heat and that results in more cooling (which is why you perspire). Perspitation doesn’t evaporate in high humidity and that causes you to feel hotter + soaks your clothing. Just wear light, light-colored, loose clothing that is all-cotton, and take it easy during the middle of the day. Visit outdoor attractions (like the zoo) during the morning and save air-conditioned activities (like museums and the aquarium) for the afternoons. Consider carrying a folding umbrella with you as afternoon showers are common.
