What is the difference between glow-in-the-dark and fluorescent colors?
Fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark (phosphorescent) colors both respond to blacklight and appear to glow. Blacklight or UV light is more energetic than conventional lighting and therefore produces a stronger response in fluorescent and phosphorescent colorants. Use of blacklights to trace objects marked with fluorescent and phosphorescent colors is common in many industries.
