What is the difference between having a website built and having a website “hosted” ?
Having a site designed and developed (built) is the process of producing a product, your website, which takes many, many hours. However it is typically a one-time project and a one-time fee. “Hosting” is the term for keeping your website on our servers (computers) and available to the world on the internet 7 days/week, 365 days/year. So there is a one-time fee for “building” a website and a monthly fee for “maintaining” it, or keeping it alive on the internet 7 days/week, 365 days/year.
